Olympic Theatre was originally a vaudeville house located next to Grace Church on Westminster Street when it exhibited Providence’s first motion picture presentation in circa 1896. In 1906, the theatre was renamed the Nickel Theatre and converted to a nickelodeon.
The theatre was demolished in the 1970s for a parking lot.
