          | This DVD collection of Charley Chase films is a supplement to other Chase previously-released collections. The discs have been mastered from a combination of 35mm and 16mm source prints. The prints are generally good to very-good in quality, with a few exceptions at both extremes. The films are accompanied by music scores composed and performed by Ben Model, David Drazin, David Knudtson, Donald Sosin and Rodney Sauer.

          | This DVD edition has been mastered from an analog videotape copy (probably VHS videotape) mastered from a 16mm reduction print, made worse by high disc compression to fit more than 200 minutes of content onto a single-sided DVD. The picture is coarsely rendered and occasionally looks horrible on a high-definition system. The film is accompanied by synchronized sound effects and a music score performed on digital keyboards by Don Kinnier. Not great but possibly the only home video edition available on DVD.
